Expensive but worth it

If you rely on Hangouts in a work environment, this is a fantastic app. It adds very little functionality over Google’s “native” app that runs through chrome, but it integrates much better with a mac setup. It’s more stable and doesn’t randomly quit like the google app, and you don’t need to have chrome running at the same time. More importantly, it integrates with notification center and has a proper dock icon badge, so there’s less chance of missing messages.

Only four stars because $10 is a lot to pay for what’s essentially a reskinned web interface. Still, it works very well, so if you need Hangouts for work, it’s a good deal even at $10.
